With a mission to do something significant to help their community and a sense of pride in their accomplishments, three students from CS 250: Web Page Programming at Montana State University – Great Falls have spent their spring semesters re-designing and re-populating the web site for the Montana Red Cross.

Matthew Bundi, Brian Evans and Keith Hall have made their work on the site a top priority. At the beginning of the semester they met Ray Mohney and Wil Huett from the Great Falls chapter of MRC to discuss needs and priorities. After assembling a list of objectives, the students organized and prioritized their various responsibilities into separate tasks, and the renaissance of the site began.

Though these students have been involved in other community projects in previous classes in the Web Development program, the Montana Red Cross site was the largest undertaking they had been involved with. “There were so many pages that we wondered where to begin,” commented Hall. “But once we broke our tasks into manageable sizes, the job wasn't quite so daunting,” replied Bundi. Evans concurred, mentioning that “the site really doesn't look a lot like it used to. It's gratifying to be a part of an organization like the MRC.”
